Yes, but not grapes, rasin or onions as apparently they can cause kidney failure. You're not being odd, my collie is allergic to meat and so eats lots of fruit and veg, and she absolutly loves almost everything I have tried her with - although she doesn't like mushroom. Baby sweet corn, peas in a pod, and carrots are a few of her faviourites

First, cat food is not good for dogs. It can cause crystals in their bladders. There is a big difference in the nutritional needs of dogs and cats. Keep trying different dog foods or look for samples to try. Many of the dog food companies will send you samples or check with your vet for samples. Some fruits and vegetables can destroy red blood cells and cause heart arrhythmia's etc.. Carrots are a great snack but again too much of a good thing isn't good either. Hope you get the answers you need.

Im not sure but I've been told that cat food is bad for dogs....and yeh im sure that fruit and veg are fine!....I have a cavalier king charles and hes a fussy eater....so now I mix veg in with his canned dog food or buscuits....I tried the better variaties but the dog prefered good old canned food....its just trial and error really!
As for grapes and garlic being bad for your dog that rubbish...I've read books and especially the victoria stillwell book its me or the dog thats very good!
The other thing to do is get a few books on your breed of dog they always help!
Good luck! X

You should never feed your dogs grapes, this is poisnous like chocolate to them!
I would also try to get your dog eating proper dog food, try different kinds, maybe dry food (always remember to have water down) He may just be being fussy because he can be!!! My dog was like this to begin with, but they will eat the right food if there is no other choice. A bit of veg will not hurt him , but not daily.
(maybe once a week)

yeah if it is pureed or if its from a baby jar. its hard, like with us humans to digest some fruits and veggies, so hopefully ur dog does not have diarrhea or constipation. but i know from the akc that chunks of raw meat (no pork or chicken) is good because of the protein factor. They need that more 4 strong muscles and good coats. so cut back a little on the fruits (maybe a snack) and concentrate on some protein and calcium. Another good thing is a tablespoon or so 2x a day of peanut butter. It works great on my dogs.

A dog does not have to eat meat, in the same way that a human doesn`t have to. But I am sure they do prefer meat. I give meat and vegetables to my dog, but she also like cheese and any fruit except bananas, she also likes jelly and ice cream, in fact most things that I do. As long as he has a balanced diet he will be fine.

Fruit & veg are fine Dogs are omnivores lie us. Fruit & veg make much better treats and rewards than a lot of the rubbish people feed to dogs. my dog loves veg through his food especially carrots and sweet potatoes.

Green potatoes and potatoe sprouts, grapes, onions, garlic, and the stem, leaves and green parts of tomatoes are all fatal to a dog if enough is eaten. Do not feed him these, but the rest should be fine :)
Congrads on the adoption !

dogs are onriganly carnivores but over the year dogs have been domesticated by humans and have there for become omnivores which tranlated means they can eat all fruit an veg this behaviour is encourged normally when the dog is very young it there for does them no harm if kept under moderation

I don't see why not as long as he still eats all the normal pooch food as well. It may make him windy though ! I used to have a dog that loved mixed up sunday lunch but she used to pick the sprouts out and put them on the floor as she didn't like them. How strange is that?!
