By train I take it you mean guide, raise any of the above. Okay.
Now we have that settled.
First off you have to be the authority. While being the authority you must treat them like people. You must say what you mean and mean what you say. You as the parent must let them know what you want. You must also listen to them as it is part of your job.
All children must know of safety. They must know that a stranger for the most part cannot be trusted; especially those whom they meet on the streets. Children must know when a stranger approaches them that they can scream and scream they must.
They must know rules are to keep them safe. I just thought of something look for McGrufff on line. Try McGruff.org. McGruff is the crime dog (a cartoon) that teaches our children how to be safe. I have a couple listed for you.
Good luck and have a nice day.

You don't 'train' children, you love them, guide them and respect them. This teaches them to respect themselves and others around them. But the four letter word that always applies is LOVE. Hugs, kisses, laughing, joy. Enjoy your children - positive pedagogy - then you will reap the rewards of having produced happy people. No matter what country you live in. Good luck - enjoy your blessing of having a child/children.

Depending on what ' this country ' means, because were are international here.
To raise you children well, it's important to teach the structure. Stick to a daily routine and give them boundaries, which makes them well behaved children and polite.
Give them lots of hugs and attention, because otherwise the whole world would grow cold. Nourish them with love.

Hi with the greatest respect, all you can do is bring them up with respect to elders and people, teach right and wrong. etc. Look at yourself, did your parents do good by you, if so bring them up as you feel right for you. and guide them through the pathways and explain along the way. so they also make a good choice in life. I have 4 children, and each one had their own pathway, but at least they are respectful and caring in their own way. Good Luck.

you train a dog but teach a child..
just make sure she/he learns right from wrong and to respect the thoughts of others and treat those around him/her as they would like to be treated.. to have manners and to be polite .
to express thier thoughts and to be allowed to think for them selves

spare the rod, spoil the child. spank when need be, but never in anger, i repeat, never in anger, that is barbaric. Love them even though u should never spare the rod, and most especially make the know your God and his ways, for what they learn as kids stay with them all thru their life.

Enrole them in various sport/activity clubs. It'll help them to focus their energy in building character. Encourage them to learn and understand various different cultures and religious background so they can learn to respect themselves and others ;) if all fails send them to me I'll sort them out....lol
