No - you would be destroying the reason for juicing in the first place - to get the fresh enzymes of the vegetable.

No. Do not boil it first .Please do remember that beet juice is very concentrated and should ALWAYS be diluted with a milder juice such as carrot or apple.

Also remember, when juicing beets to alternate between pieces of beets and pieces of carrots/apples otherwise the beet pulp tends to build up on the side of the spinning extraction basket and causes the juicer to vibrate.

No you don't cook the beet root first.

It defeats the purpose of drinking it's RAW juices - for the enzymes, vits and the other good stuff that gets detroyed with cooking. I do however wash them well and leave the skin on.

Perhaps you are getting confused with rhubarb which is poisonous if consumed raw - this I cook well!

dear, as an expert in healthy food, i advice you to not boil the beetroot, jush wash it raw and cut it and make juice with the extractor, use it in the same day,

is it for you a best answer?

.no,cooking the beet somehow solidifies the juice or something.and it turns to pulp without giving any juice. i just cut it into pieces small enough for my juicer and it does great. my favorite combo is beet ,apple and carrot.
