...so that I can walk through the restricted barriers (and escort my friends) to get a better view on the Embankment.
And where can I buy this yellow high visabilty jacket with badges?
Or where can I buy the badges and jacket separately?

No you cannot.! Going through a restricted barrier will require you to show your warrant card.Without that, you will be arrested for impersonation. Police officers are required to carry their warrant card at all times. Beware!!!!!
Kantoria.................you cannot buy warrant cards!!! Unless the warrant card has a recognised Police Commissioner's signature, thats it........game over!! You would be wise to forget your idea.!!!

Absolutely not, you'll get arrested for impersonating a police officer. You won't be able to (legally) buy the police badges either; any surplus shop is required to remove and destroy the badges before sale. You might be able to find one with the checkers still on, but you may find yourself having it confiscated if you wear it out. I used to have a badge saying 'POLITE' in the same typeface and the police weren't impressed.
In any case, having the jacket won't get you through, as you'll need a reason to get through - you won't be able to saunter through even if you were police, as the senior officer would want to know what you were up to and why.

impersonating a police officer carries a minimum 28 day prison term besides all the other potential conserquences such as being glassed by some drunken thug.
Impersonating a security officer to get into an event like this may not be an offence on its own, but if the police do stop and check you out and find out youre not who you claim to be, it could put you in a bit of an awkward situation, especially in the age we live in

If they were so available at any market, then any one could abuse the uniform i think. You might find the uniform, but take care, by that you can only deceive civillains, not the police. They might have many other signs and specifications as to avoide any kind of intruption by civillians. Be carefull not to creat a headack for you at the next new year firework, instead of having fun, doing this.

Feel free to dress like a cop and not carry a weapon.....You just may end up at the business end of a riot.
Oh yeah, with the terroism going on throughout the world...I think you would be detained or at least challeged by a real law enforcement officer.

Impersonating a police officer at any time is illegal, and is most certainly not recommended in this day and age with all the terrorism problems...you may even end up being shot!

You would be impersonating a police officer and would more than likely be charged.
Why not buy a title from Tony that will open most doors for you

Hi-vi jackets - no problem. Police badges (unless you're actually IN the police) - BIG TROUBLE!
