All liquor will cause a hangover if you drink enough.

Hangovers are not caused by the amount of alcohol you consume, nor the type. A hangover is a lack of water in your system.

Alcohol is a diuretic, and makes your body loose more water than it takes in.

Drink whatever you enjoy. But if you plan to drink a lot, have water in between drinks.

I've always heard that drinking liquor straight won't give you a hang over. Supposedly mixing the alcohol with carbonated beverage is what does it. I wouldn't know tho', I've never tried it. I've also heard that drinking several different kind of drinks will give you a worse hangover.

The best cure for a hangover is another alcoholic drink. My drink of choice is a Bloody Mary. Also whatever you do, don't drink water first thing in the morning when you wake up. It will only make you feel more hungover, almost drunk like.

Also if you eat b4 you drink it will help to lessen the hangover.

A 100% tried and true cure for the hangover is about a 10 minute inhalation of 100% pure oxygen! I worked in a nursing home for years and if I had to work that day, obvously I couldn't drink a bloody mary b4 work so I would grab an oxygen tank and go hide out in the utility room and suck up some oxygen. Worked every time. You still feel like crap but at least your head don't hurt.

Alcohol turns into wood alcohol in your blood stream. Wood alcohol is what you use to clean out wounds! You are being poisoned is what gives you the hang over. A lot of ppl when hungover get sick at even the smell of food. And if they eat it? They're puking their guts up. So, make yourself sick and you will get the poison out of your system quicker.

The more refined the liquor, the less hangover you will have....meaning the more times through the distallation process. A cheap bottle of vodka (POPOV) will give you a worse hangover compared to an expensive bottle such as (GREY GOOSE). Do an experiment....just don't drink the whole bottle.

Liquors that don't have sugar - Vodka and Bacardi. Scotch and Tequila are second best. Rum and all that flavored crap... the worst. The less sugar you consume with liquor, the least likely you are to get a hangover. I also drink soda water/ lime as a quencher when I drink. It's my bar water... point is drink water while you drink.

high quality liquor and clear in color. Dark liquor will leave you with a hangover for sure. Expensive vodka like Grey Goose and Belvedere will not leave you with a hangover.

But do not mix beer and liquor, it could leave you with a nasty headache in the morning.

Buy a very good bottle of tequilla, one that has 100% Agave and gold (silver is a little harsh). I drank half a bottle and never got a hang over and to this day i wont drink anything else. Jose Cuervo traditional is a cheaper 100% agave and it is pretty good. Corazon, el mayor reserve, and cazadores are the best but expensive!

I agree with the other answers, I would add that drinking champagne or cocktails mixed with soda are worse. Also, though it is important to try to drink water while drinking, what works best is to drink plenty of water directly before bed, and I usually go ahead and take a few aspirin or Advil before I pass out.
