When my 13, year old cat Leo was a kitten he was keeping me awake running through the house back and forth and back and forth into my bedroom and back and forth so when he left out I shut the door. Well, Leo came running and I was laying in the bed and I thought surely he knows the door is closed but sadly he didn't. I heard a wham! I got up and poor Leo was sitting there and looked kinda shocked. I picked him up and petted him. He didn't run anymore that night. He climbed into bed and went to sleep.

When we had a snow of 15 inches Leo wanted out. My Mom kept telling him you can't go out there. He wouldn't listen he kept meowing and meowing. Mom opened the door. He jumped out onto the step and was staring at the snow that was all the way up to the step. He put one paw out and pulled it back and I guess he thought oh I can walk on this stuff. He jumped into the snow which completely covered him. He ran right back into the house meowing frantically. Mom said, " See I told you. You wouldn't listen. Don't get mad at me." I don't know which was funnier Leo or Mom. LOL.

I had a yellow tom cat years ago. He turned up missing and we hunted high and low for that cat. He was an inside cat and after a painfull search we thought he must have gotten outside somehow, so we gave up the search. This was about 6:30 in the evening. About 9:30 I went to switch a load of laundry to the dryer. When I opened the dryer he shot out of there like a rocket. It scrared the crap out of me. Around 6:00 that evening I had started the wash and while standing there after unloading the dryer I reached down and closed it. He must have gotten in while the dryer was still warm inside. (It was in January) Everytime after that, when my wife or I either one would open the washer or dryer that cat would haul a*s! LOL

My aunt's cat grew up in flat for 5 years and hardly ever left it as they lived in block of flats in the middle of London. When my aunt eventually decided to move to North London and finally had a beautiful back yard complete with a fish pond and lovely water plants she thought the cat would have a wonderful time. Unfortunately poor city cat didn't have a clue that the water plants only grew top and weren't stable and decided to go for a walk on the pond. It took him about 15 seconds to figure out that he could stand there and when he finally touched the ground he lept out of the pond indignantly and stalked off for the rest of the day. Sadly cats aren't as clever as we think.... the next day he came tearing into the house absolutely soaked and it wasn't raining ;-)

When I lived at home with my parents we had a cat called Fenella - she was a bit dippy and got inside the washing machine before the clothes had been washed to have a sleep. My mum, not knowing she was in there, closed the door and turned on the machine. She thought the machine was making a strange noise as it started spinning so went to investigate and found Fenella clinging to the door from the inside looking pretty freaked! Luckily mum managed to rip the door open mid cycle (flooding the utility room!) and get her out. She rushed her straight to the vet who had to flush her sinuses but other than that she was fine - she lived to be 20!

When my cat was a kitten, i lived in a second floor flat. my cat decided to squeeze out of kitchen window to come in other side but miss judged her footing and fell out down to the ground. She was fine apart from a small scratch, she was very lucky then ran into a neighbours house. She is now a 8 year grumpy cat.

When our cat Butzie was still a kitten, she was sleeping on a table several feet away from our TV. Suddenly, during a program on how to train dogs, a shot of a large growling dog appeared on the screen. Butzie woke and jumped to her feet, back arched and fur standing straight up.
She emitted this high modulated shriek and flew right at the screen, bumping her head on it and falling to the floor. She sat looking kind of dazed and puzzled for abot 30 seconds before hauling herself up and walking off as though nothing had happened.

My cat has decided that he's the alpha male in the house. On Sunday morning, when any decent person would be having a lie-in, he walked up the bed (and me!), sat on my chest, and, when I wouldn't wake up, thumped me on the nose! It was completely deliberate, so that he could be fed and let out. Of course, I had to oblige...

My uncle discovered my youngest kitty (Nixon) while she was trying to nurse from his 16-year-old, arthritic German Shepherd Samantha.

Nixon and her two sibs (now happily living with my mom) had been abandoned by their mother and were searching out a new source for dinner. She's still a fiesty little thing.

once my mum came home a bit worse for the weather after being out to dinner and dance, instead of putting the cat out she put the cat in the fridge & the full pint of milk out side the front door. What a shock I got when I went to the fridge in the morning. But we had a good laugh and after that she did´t drink so much alcohol
