I have had many occult experiences.
Try doing the 5 tai chi exercises of Falun Gong.
I guarantee that after your first set of exercises you will physically feel the difference, and your sleeps will also change

I got interested in the occult when I was 12. I was a solitary Wiccan most of my teenage years until I realized it was a hoax. I tried other things, and even considered myself a follower of LaVey for a while. Toward the end of my occult "career" I went for more simpler, "white light" stuff, like hoodoo and Gamache's books.
Eventually I wised up (with God's help!). Read about the lives of famous occultists:

....and then decide if they had lots of "adventures".
Basically in the occult, you collect lots and lots of books, do spells that don't really work (you just do them for the sake of doing them), live in fear of a rival witch or warlock or rouge "Daemon" out there somewhere, become superstitious and carry all kinds of paper seals and herbs (which don't work), and all the while think you're better than the awful "xtians". Man, I was an idiot! I wasted so many years studying, so many hundreds of dollars on books. I realized other people were walking around without a "gris gris", a pentagram, or a "Pentacle of Saturn" and they were about as "protected" as I was. Writing this, I can't believe I was honestly that stupid then, but I was.
Now, I try to warn people not to waste their time like I did, and at the same time I'm a colorful (although not always wanted or appreciated) counterpoint to answers about Wicca, Satanism, Voodoo, Crowley, Santeria, etc.
