Yes - besides the usual vaccinations - Thailand is also an Endemic area for Malaria and Hepatitis and Dengue Fever and now Avian Flu - avoid livestock markets! - see links below - simple to use and gives you a time line- You local GP and or Health Centre will be able to book you in for these

Yeah- I had tetanus, diptheria, typhus and Hep A when I went... I was told by the travel clinic that you only need to get the super strong (and expensive) Malaria tablets if you go to the not so touristy parts... ie if you're staying outside of Bangkok/ Koh Samui/ Koh Pha Ngan/ Koh Tao/ Phuket etc....

I travel around asia and always keep a up to date vacation card with me, not sure it's a requirement for Thailand but it is good insurance. Your Medical Doctor will know which vacations are the best for you.

Yes, ask your GP... Though I never had injections, and i've been over there twice and i was fine...

P.S. If you haven't been before you'll LOVE it!! Shopping is absolutely wonderful.... U have to go to Phuket-- absolutely beautiful! Apparently it's even better now than it was before the Tsunami hit. Also Bangkok... Shopping is great too!!! Aaah... I'm SO jealous!!!!!!!! ;-) ENJOY!!

Oh yes.

Check with your GP, but at least Hep-A, Hep-B, typhus, diphtheria and tetanus (if you don't have these already), maybe rabies and Japanese encephalitis.

Too many people go to such places without checking first.

Yes, you will need various injections, but you better make an appointment with your surgery nurse as she will be able to advise you on exactly what you will need.
