I have been going out with my boyfriend for 3 weeks and I met his best mate last week. We have been getting on great and I like him more than my boyfriend. He made a move on me but I said that we can't do anything until I've finished with my boyfriend cuz its not fair. I really like my boyfriend but I love his best mate more. How can I tell my boyfriend this without hurting him or making him angry. He keeps telling me how much he loves me. Help!

They are really good mates but I dont want to fall out with my boyfriend cuz I do like him. They are in a band together and they are really good but if I stay with the guy I'm with now then I will be miserable and not love him properly and he dosent deserve that off me. His best mate said he would be with me if I broke it off with the guy cuz he has already broke up with his girlfriend.

Id steer well clear chicks! At the end of day what kind of a bloke trys to move in on his best mates missus!! It sounds as if he would do it on his best mate he would do it on you in a heartbeat. What if he was goin out wit you n he fancied ur best mate how would YOU feel! If you don't wanna be wit your current bloke dats fair enough but breaking his heart an then starting up wit his best mate is low. Do you think you're gonna be able to handle every1 thinking ur a right *****?!! These are the things you are gonna have to think about. Hope you make a wise choice chicks x x x

Would this other guy be willing to be with you and lose his friend in the process? Sure doesn't sound right and you're doing the right thing. If you don't love your boyfriend at present, you've got to let him know and not lead him on.

How long have these two guys been friends? How close are they? Best best friends? If they are, I don't think you want to be the cause of their break up, it'll just make you feel bad in the end.

Why not stay friends with both of them. No ties. No strings. If in a few years you're still all friends...you can take it from there. Who knows, the boyfriend you're with now, may find another girl and then you and the other guy can make your move. :)

Wish you the best.

Hmmm...do you have a girlfriend who may like the guy you're with now? ...... just checking.

What is the problem, you've only been going out with the guy for 3 weeks, finish with him now, but in a decent way. Just say you need some space, he'll get the drift.

Break up with your current boyfreind, then leave it at least a week and tell his best mate how you feel, and if he feels the same, he has to tell his mate, leaving you out off the equation with a lot less blame!

Some best mate he turned out to be, hitting on his mate's woman. If you want to be with someone like that, you deserve each other.

why don't you and the best Mate just walk up and tell the fella the truth, the best mate can take his big black eye and swollen lips like a man and everybody just goes on with life.

Tell him that you've met someone else, or that things just don't work out! However, you should wait until you go with his mate! If he finds out, he'll be like a red rag to a bull when he hears his name!

I don't think it's going to be easy for you to tell your boyfriend, but the sooner you do it, the better. Don't tell him you're leaving him for his best friend - this would be unnecessarily. You may want to speak to his best friend and find out if he would actually want to be your boyfriend if you were single... since it would almost certainly come between their friendship. They may not be prepared to let a girl come between them.
However, if you're attracted to the second guy, your boyfriend isn't enough for you anyway, so you should break up with him regardless.
Drama!

If i had a girlfriend in this situation i would want to be "dumped" in an elegant way... take him out to dinner, but dont tell him "we need to talk" it scares men... sit down and just be straight forward, do it in a quaint place... but make it somewhere in public, so there is no chance of a blow up.
hope this helped

You should tell your boyfriend how you feel. He will probally be angry. And after all he has a very good reason to be.
