Some of the things that we need to do :
1: use more and more Renewable sources of Energy.
2: use Fluoroscent Tubes/Bulbs which give more light at a lower Wattage in Industries and at Homes as compared to other Bulbs.
3: Use Vehicles with better Mileage i.e Kms covered per Litre/Gallon of Petrol or Diesel . Discard Fashionable Gas-Guzzlers .
4: Generate more Electricity using Hydro/Wind/Solar Power as compared to Thermal Power Plants .
5: Avoid using Vehicles for Short Distances. Instead Walk .
6: Governments and Private Industrialists should fund more and more R&D in use of Resources in a way that reduce Global Warming .
And there could be more Measures .

We can do a lot of things against global warming....
1> Generate consiousness that it is amn made...AND not natural which seems to be the general perception.
2> As suggested above try using recyclable products..
3> Use sources of energy like the solar, wind, hydroelecticity, green fuel..etc instead of the conventional fuel.
4>The freidge needs replacement...no idea how till now.
5> Plant new trees and conserve the existing forests.
These are just a few ways..there are many more...

This is purely personal opinion. I don't think there is anything we can do to stop it. The earth if going through it's normal cycle, as if does every few thousand years according to scientists, and there really ain't nothing you can do to stop it. They've proven that the earth has gone through this thousands of years ago, and I seriously doubt if there were that many CFC's being released into the air baack then, and I really don't think there were that many cars polluting. It's just something we're going to have to put up with. Of course, since this is just my opinion, yahoo answers will probably pull it as they are prone to do when I state an opinion. Hope you have a nice day, anyway

we all know that global warming is caused by increased gases\fuel in the atmosphere. one sure method of reducing this trend is carbon dioxide sequestration, which is one big project that most of the big e and p companies are consodering in the nearest future and it is my believe that when that project starts, the issue of global warming will be reduced.

Write to your congressmen and women...
Tell them to start getting their **** together so our country won't have global warming. They can start with the car makers in the US and the people can start with their own trash, by recycling.

- Take an interest, try to understand the arguments, spread the word or be counted when it comes to your vote, ask questions such as this.
- Calculate your carbon footprint, consider ways to reduce or perhaps offset some carbon emissions you are responsible for.

Don't waste energy, and stop driving cars with fossil combustion engine. Even you might find this as 'not so big effect' but if we're all together in doing it, it might change the world.
