If he existed he probably would. He seems to be the cool guy, whereas the god seems to be egotistic and controlling.

Satan doesn't guard Hell...infact, Satan shall enter Hell with the other infidels. His torture will be more severe than the others, however.
There are angels that guard Hell and are responsible for the temporary torture of the sinners who are believers, and the permanent and everlasting torture of the non-believers. The commander of these angel guards is called Malek.
You may ask: If Hell is fire and Satan is made of fire, how then does hell torture him? The answer is as follows: If we are made of clay mud and water, how come a pottery made of clay mud and waterwould injure and hurt us if it was crashed against our heads?!
Satan is not rewarded for rebelling aganst God and encouraging others to be like him. He will immortallize in the most severe tortures of Hellfire without any mercy; this Hellfire that loves its dwellers just as Heaven loves its dwellers!
So take care and avoid the temptations of Satan and his soldiers (ie followers)!

No friend, you just dont get it. Satan does not guard hell, He will be IN it, with you if you do not come to God.
Hell is no party. You will not even get water while you burn.
