a guy friend told me that a lot of the time, he would like sex to just be sex, no mushy, touchy feely stuff that girls are into, and that it would be considered quite "rough" by a girl's standards. He loves his girlfriend, but he admitted (when drunk) that deep down, guys just do the romance for their girlfriends and he wishes they would understand that sometimes they just want a shag, plain and simple. Oh dear, your friend is a 'Wham Bam!' Not good, nothing wrong with a bit of touchy mushy before penetration. That is all part of foreplay and without foreplay, sex isn't as fulfilling as it would be with! I think your 'friend' is a selfish person for not wanting to pleasure his g/friend/partner. My husband loves the build up - all the romantic slushy, mushy, touchy feely bits! That's what brings us close together! Not all men are like your friend, thank God cos if they were all women would be lesbian's!

personally i love romance and being passionate about a girl. its just about appreciating her body and loving her. i definitely like the mushy touchy feely stuff. at the same time i think its great just to have sex without it. its more raw and true to the animal inside of a man and makes him feel more powerful. i would say it (obviously) varies from person to person - but that if a man is just romancing a girl cos he has to it will probably be obvious anyway - so if youre reasonably perceptive you should notice it if it happens. not all women are romantic either you know.

"some girls do , some girls don't ; some girls need a lot of loving ; some girls don't " ( words from an old song ) but probably prevalent in to days world --- however ! what do you really want ( or your friend ) love and friendship is a lot more involved than just a "shag " --- i might add from both sides of the fence --- don't forget we all grow old where would you like to be fifty years from now !!?? --- if you just want a shag --- then you'll be on your own --- if you want to commit and enjoy the chemistry that brought you together :: then ! well ( don't get on the piss to make up your mind ) weigh up life from a different perspective than just a shag .

it really ****** me off when boys come out with c**p like this. Yes girls like slushy stuff but not all the time. quite often we want a shag, plain & simple, sometimes we don't even like the slushy stuff. stop thinking you know everything there is to know about girls and don't tar us all with the same brush! Some times boys can be way too slushy/romantic and it is very off putting!

Wait until this guy actually falls for a girl and gets his little heart broken.
Sure most guys (especially younger guys) are purely motivated by sex and would much prefer just a sexual relationship with girls, where they didn't have to pretend to be genuinely interested in long term commitment - with all the complementary comments, flowers, dinner, holding hands etc.
However there are also a lot of people (including guys) who do love sex, but also value a partner or companion to share things with! And they actually enjoy the whole romancing their partner )maybe not every minute of every day) because they want to show their partner they are grateful for having them in their life and like putting a smile on their face!

You certainly have creative words for what you call sex. You also cheapen it by having the casual attitude and the desire to have sex as a no emotion activity. Girls and guys who enjoy the act for the emotional and physical pleasure, do so because of what it shows your partner...love, respect, caring, and on and on. Hate to say it but the only way your friend can have sex for just the act itself, is go to a prostitute. They do it 20 times a day with no feelings at all for the mate. I would advise him to learn what love is and how to express it....join the real world.

Its really a personal choice. Some days you might feel like being mushy but other days you don't. We're animals at the end of the day and we have needs but its doesn't always involve emotion. My bf and i have had this conversation and he understands what i need on what days. Its perfect. Come on girls, please don't tell me that all you want all day is to be loved and cuddled. It would drive me insane!

When my partener has had a really bad day at work he is just after the f*u*c*k. Its his way of releasing tension. I am happy for him to come home and f*u*c*k my brains out when he is stressed, but when he is not I expect the mushy touchy stuff!

i agree with this, guys have needs too. we're always trying to get girls in the position where sex is favorable, which usually includes lots of mushiness and nice talk, but everyone's got fantasies including us guys and sometimes we just need a little shag ;)

Sounds like a guy who has some growing up to do, he's probably never experienced deep love. Sounds like he doesn't know there is more to sex than friction. There are a lot of guys who seem to have arrested development in that area. But that doesn't mean all feel this way.
