From what I have heard, the pope has forbidden christians to read this gospel.
I suppose the reason is that this Gospel of Barnabas states that Jesus (pbuh) was a man and a Prophet.- Not God or son of God.
The Gospel of Barnabas was written by a disciple of Jesus (pbuh). The christians, however, choose to believe the gospel of later christians who spread lies about Jesus (pbuh).

There is no evidence the G.O.B existed prior to the 15th century. It is never mentioned by the early church fathers or Muslim aplogists who were engaged in constant debates w/Chrisitians throughtout the 1st 8 centuries of Islam (7-14th centuries).

Haha, it also contains a lot of anachronisms (things in the wrong time period)---suggesting a date in the middle ages. For example, chapter 83----the year of Jubilee was celebrated every 50yrs until a papal decree in AD1343, placing the date somtime after.
Feudalism is mentioned in chapters 122--someone in the 1st century wouldnt of know about it!

It was written by a Muslim is most scholars opinions.

It wasn't included in the original canon for some reason. I think we have all the answers we need in the Holy Bible.
