A better question woul be why was David Ben-Gurian (the first prime minister of Israel) not tried and punished for murder and terrorism? He was the cell leader of a seperatist Jewish group called the Stern Gang (pre-Israel) that set off a bomb in The King David Hotel on July 26, 1946. That bomb killed 91 people.
