does anyone know of anything that has fallen in price to counter the rise in house,fuel ,council tax,road tax etc so that inflation is just 3%.

3% is an historical average, sometimes, in a given year it is higher, but the one big thing that comes to my mind is the price of borrowing money.
The other day I was sorting through some old paperwork and found the stuff from the first mortgage I ever had 11.5% yieks! my mortgage today is 4.5%
based on my current mortgage balance that a difference of $519 this month, that will buy allot of gas.

Yes, around our way they have just opened a 99p shop, this undercuts the £1 store by 0.01% !
Apart from that I cant think of much else.
