converts format help?

i got this movie in avi format but my laptop wont play it when i open it in media player, powerdvd etc. i wish to burn it to, what do i do?

Search on google for "Combined Community Codec Pack" and download it. It contains all the codecs you need to watch every possible kind of movie. You should also download divx (www.divx.com) and install that as well.

...or get Klite codec pack, because it seems that u don't have the codec the view the movie.
