why is the spacebar in msword has dots when you press it?

well open your ms word
then click tools then option
then below remove the check from formatting marks (spaces)


then njoy

You have the 'invisibles' turned on. These won't print but show all the formatting.
To turn this off you need to have your standard toolbar showing (go to 'View' menu - choose 'toolbars' then 'standard').
Now look for the icon that looks like a funny looking 'P' but inverted.
It displays 'show/hide'.
On my mac version it is next to the red 'toolbox' icon but it might be different in windows.
