There's nothing evil about genes. Alright? Boredom can turn any animal vicious and ignorance creates fear which distorts reality. No one chooses how they grow up. To quote Charles Dickens, "Any man can be a better man under better circumstances." So nothing is evil – just inevitable. Sure people will explain with Adam and Eve but that's because they don't know neuroscience or psychology. I mean, people used to believe meat turned into maggots because they didn't know flies would lay eggs in them.

It got there because God created man with the potential for evil. That's not the same as creating evil. Doctors believe that cancer is turned on and off by certain genes that act as switches. When the switches somehow get turned on, cells start to duplicate abnormally and tumors are formed which turn into cancer. In that sense we all have cancer lying in our bodies dormant and waiting to be turned on. But for many of us it never gets turned on and no one would ever accuse us of having cancer. It's the same principle. God created us with the potential for evil and when adam and eve sinned, that potential became active.

good and evil are concepts of religion "take a pick" I believe that most would say that evil is something you find, but really dont find you. You always have a sober choice, I think alot of christens want you to believe that you can be full of demons making up your minds, and in a way they are right, drinking alcohol can be serious if you are a drunk, however there is alot of choices you can make.

Evil started when adam and eve sinned by eating the forbidden apple. So they and all the children born to them were cursed and was born with that.
Thats how it was planted. Just as how we resemble and have characteristics of our parents, like the same way we inherit this too.
In olden days, the people repented and made sacrifices to God to do away with their sins. But once for all, a death of a sinless man as a sacrifice of those who repent made THE DIFFERENCE.

There is no such thing as 'good' or 'evil'; these concepts are purely delusional inventions of the religious. Ironically it is these very types of people who are causing most of the problems in the world today!

There is morality however but this has to be taught and is harder work than turning yr mind off and praying to Jebus.

God created Man, but He didn't want a puppet, he wanted a loyal follower. Because of this He gave Man the gift of CHOICE. Adam & Eve CHOSE to sin, and that is where it started.

The 10 commancdments states that God will visit his wrath to the third and fourth generations of those who hate HIM, but He shows his grace to the Thousandth generations of those who love HIM.

That is why we inheret sins from our parents.

So,
- Jonas V, demons don't make up our minds for us;
- Skaleton Past, our CHOICES determine our destiny, not our demons; and
- sleakitweasel1, morality doesn't get you to heaven, only the grace of God does. When you pray to Jesus, you don't close off your mind, instead you open it to the great omnipotence of your Creator.
- to all 3 of you: don't test a Christian on what they say; test them on what they do. You will be surprised when you open your minds to the possibilities of a true Christian life.

Interesting question. Evilness comes from sin. It started with the angel Lucifer, or Satan, getting jealous of God. Lucifer wanted His power and tried to overthrow Him. He was banished from Heaven and sent to Hell. God created the first man and woman, Adam and Eve. They were pure and without sin. Satan tempted and tricked them in the Garden of Eden and they committed the first sin. That was when people brought sin into the world. Then their first son Cain killed his brother Abel. I believe that was the first sign of human evilness. We all have fleshly desires and are sinful and selfish in nature. As we sin, we get farther away from God. Satan will always tell us lies, like in Eden, and try to turn us away from God. I hope this was understandable and that you get your question answered.

I am not sure what you are asking exactly. We are born in sin because we come from our parents, who sinned. Having flesh, we all sin.

When we are born, we may inherit things from our parents, such as curses, etc., or even demons who are passed down where there are open doors.

By concupiscence. We're born with an innate weakness, of a potential to sin.
