Plants are an important part of out atmosphere. We as humans would not live without plants in they were not here. Plants give us oxygen so we can breathe. If we didn't have plants then we wouldnt be able to inhale oxygen (breathe). But that's not it. They also have a benefit from Humans. When we exhale we are releasing Carbon Dioxide in the air. Plants use that Carbon Dioxide and give off oxygen so to make things simplier:

Plants give off Oxygen and take in Carbon Dioxide
Humans give off Carbon Dioxide and take in Oxygen!

Hope This Help for you!

As well as giving us oxygen, food, building materials, coal (therefore heat and electricity), clothes (cotton etc.) etc. etc. there is also evidence that they are beneficial or even essential for human mental health - why do we plant trees in cities, keep house plants and gardens? - it's hard to say but most people would agree that something just wouldn't feel right without them. Plants are our companions on this planet - we wouldn't be here without them - they don't just help us, they make us who we are!

plants are the ones which store in them starch which is prepared by the process of photosynthesis. One of the food constituent that we eat is carbohydrate. Starch is nothing but a form of carbohydrate. so we depend on plants on food. besides carbohydrate we also get proteins and fats from plants.we get fruits from plants which also serve for food. besides food wood that we get frm plant is useful for furniture and other purposes. there are many things that we get frm plants, but the most important one is oxygen. and we can't live without it. also bcoz of O2 which laters forms ozone O3 we are protected from the harmful radiations from earth.
there are many uses but food and oxygen are vital in keeping us alive.
