I'm trying to figure out what my paycheck will be and I need to subtract all taxes and what-not that will come out of the total amount. About what % is it?

Social Security is 6.2%, Medicare is 1.45%, and then you have withholding. Go to IRS.gov and search for Publication 15, which is the employer's withholding tables. Your state will have the same withholding tables online. Good luck.

That really depends on the amount that you make, the number of deductions and the area you live in. Being young and new to the workforce myself, I have noticed that employers take between 18%-24% depending on how you fill out the form. The more you "claim" the more you get in your check every week, but if you claim to much then you might have to pay when tax time comes around. HINT: If you are filing your taxes with the your parents (like you are a dependant) take as much home as you can and let your parents worry about the tax burden in April. I am not a tax adviser and my opinions are just that, my opinions.

it depends on what u put on ur w4 form when u got hired....its like anywhere from 10-30% i think plus state taxes....and how many people u claimed and stuff
