I find that I'm not attracted to women that have lots of male friends, I avoid them. I also get turned off if a woman gossips, it makes me think they're insecure. I find quiet humility in a woman to be strong and confident. My friend says I like mousy, weak women, but I don't think he understands. What do you think?

I don't think you sound really sexist. Perhaps, you're more attracted to these "types" of personalities, because they fit who you are more.

If you're quiet, and traditional; it's normal, and ok for you to prefer someone who thinks the same as you.

Not all guys, not even the more liberal ones, exactly love their girls having tons of guy friends. So I can understand that. However, you should be able to trust the woman you love, to be ok with her having male friends.

Traditional does not have to mean sexist, unless you have actual sexist attitudes.

For instance:

- Do you believe that woman should do everything you ask, no questions asked?

- Do you respect woman, and see them as your equal?

- Will/Do you allow them to voice their opinions, and listen to them?

God bless you. Hope this helps.

I wouldn't call that sexist. I generally call men who shy away from women who have male friends, insecure. That's probably because I have a lot of guy friends... they all come to me for advice on how to deal with their wives/girlfriends, and I go to them for advice on how to fix my car and hook up my new propane tank, lol! I don't like gossips either though, they're usually catty people who revel in other's misfortune and that's never attractive.

Your friend sees what he sees in the women you date. Since he isn't dating them, his opinion shouldn't matter to you.

I don't think you are a sexist. You just have your own preference for a woman. And really it's not very appealing for a woman to have lots of male friends, gossiping, etc. So it's normal not to like them!

Of course you're not sexist. It's human nature to want someone who's loyal to you. And I don't much care for gossips either.
