Under the interpretation of Islamic Sharia law on which Afghanistan's constitution is based, a convert faces the death penalty unless he reconverts to Islam.
"The Prophet Muhammad has said several times that those who convert from Islam should be killed if they refuse to come back," says Ansarullah Mawlafizada, a trial judge.
"Islam is a religion of peace, tolerance, kindness and integrity. That is why we have told him if he regrets what he did, then we will forgive him," he told the BBC News website.

For the ignorant people who are quick to pass judgement on me, this was all from the BBC news website. This was about a man executed for converting from islam. This happened in Afghanistan and these views are shared by middle east muslims. I believe the people answering in here do not even KNOW the Quran and are from countries not under Islamic law. Open your eyes people!

A man who divorces a woman of reproductive age must wait three months to ensure that she is not pregnant.[citation needed]
Under certain circumstances (abuse, for instance), the wife may ask a judge to separate the couple.
If a man divorces his wife three times, he can no longer marry her again unless she marries another man and then divorces him.[citation needed]
These are guidelines; Islamic law on divorce is different depending on the school of thought.[6]
