Before you start flaming other religions, I am an atheist but I am open to any and all ideas and if you can convince me with PROOF I will welcome you with open arms.

For the record, Islamic rules may be global but they surely arent PRACTICED globally as that would involve murder and genocide.

I admire you for being an athiest... the world would have alot less religion-based war if everyone was an atheist.

Gee, maybe we should send sen b over to the war in iraq to teach all the fanatic muslims the "live and let live" philosophy. then the world would be allll better..... But i agree with one of the first answers, it's becuase north american muslims realize they can coexist with other religions in north america when they don't try to force their views on other people and keep them to themselves.. It's becuase of the separation of church and state.... The US isn't governed by some ancient book like countries in the middle east. It's better that way...when was the last time there was a war on north american soil? quite a long time ago..hasn't been one like that on north american soil since. maybe the middle east could learn a lesson.

Maybe they appreciate our society where one has freedom to be any religion the fact/proof is many Muslims nations are not great to live in and deny many of basic human rights, example being the edict issued in Iraq allowing one to hunt down and kill homosexuals this was rescinded about a month ago or how about the fact if you are Jewish not being allowed entry to Saudi Arabia or how about denying an education to females which is the case in many conservative Muslim countries this my friend is proof and flat fact and can not be denied and the free world has an obligation to thwart those who would deny basic human rights to their citizens.In essence Sharia law is sick and wrong and promotes racism and hatred in regards to all that oppose it.Do you want proof that God exists? I pity atheists...what a sad hopeless attitude I can guess you flame ALL religions since we base our belief in God on faith..please see definition of faith in the Catholic encyclopedia, God bless you and all Muslims.

first of all.where do you get off saying that north American Muslims turn a blind eye to the middle Easts second of all.MOST mid Easts countries do not even follow shariah law.they have democracy!third.the counties that do follow shariah do no follow it completely and usually add things to it which do not come from Islam but their culture.

Conversion and recruitment are not part of our faith. We don't need to be welcomed in your open arms. I'm a Scottish Muslim, I don't live in America. I feel no need to "convince" or give "proof" of anything. Be an atheist, its no skin of my nose.
