Yes. Small settings can be much better. I grew up in a big church that was very impersonal. And the first time I went a small church with a friend, it was the difference between night and day. Give it a try. Don't stop looking till you find a fellowship that you like and feeds your needs. And don't ever judge God or His Word, by what men do or say.

We used to call it Bible study, or a prayer meeting in olden days.
I haven't had access to a Bible study group in years.
Its a great way to go. I think a topic or theme would help. Time limit on the meeting, brings them back.

If thing were "discussed" pertaining to the Word, I'd go for it. The church is definitely way too political. And where two or more are gathered in the name of Christ, there also will be a church.

No. It is again just your interpretation of the book. What this has to do with a God? Does God talk with you or with people who interpret a book? Or you just trying to understand what people in the past written in the Bible?
