ok i recently figured out why i tell or told the people i care about(i.e. my family my ex ) " i love you" all the time. its because im telling them so that i can hear the response i want to know if there on the same playing field as me. kinda like checking in. b/c if i dont get a responce back or i notice a wierd response then i know something up. i dont just do it for that reason i also do it cause i truly love them too. is that wierd?

I think what you said was very honest and truthful, and very normal too. It's good that you realize that. I am the same way. It makes perfect sense to me.
