You really should just the instructions that the artist gave you. This is an abrasion that needs to heal and there is no way to rush the process. Do not be surprised that the area is red and kind of nasty looking as it is a wound and the skin around it will seem a bit inflamed. That is normal. The tattoo will natually scab up and will look not so wonderful until the scab falls away. Do not be tempted to pick at it, as this will only damage the tattoo.

Keep the area clean and wash it several times a day with a mild anti-bacterial soap, gently patting it dry. I have always been told to apply A&D ointment, which aside from helping to prevent infection will keep the area moist (all of the artists who'd done my tattoos recommended it).

Other than that, be patient and let it heal up. It'll be worth the wait.

Just leave it. It should be done healing in a few days. The more you mess with it the worse it will turn out. I would ease up on the lotion a bit. I maybe only put lotion on mine a few times when i first got them done, and they turned out fine. they were healed with in 5-6 days or so...

DO NOT USE PETROLEUM BASE PRODUCTS!!!! It draws out the colors and suffocates the tat. Go to your tattooist and ask for Tattoo Goo. Or you can get it off of their website. It's all natural and lets your tat breath. It will heal faster and better with Tattoo Goo. NO lotions and NO petroleum products(a&d ointment;neosporin;etc)
Hope this helps and good luck!

The wrist piercing will harm so lots extra suitable than any of the others. I actual have a genital piercing and that hardly harm in any respect yet i does not even evaluate getting my wrist pierced simply by discomfort in contact. the main project with tattoos is that everybody has them these days - they're so mainstream now that they are unremarkable. The ear and navel piercings are in all probability the terrific alternatives. notwithstanding my sister Vanessa has had a number of tattoos and piercings (besides as many complicated knee joint operations) and reported between the main painful issues she ever had executed replace into getting the cartilage on the the terrific option of her ear pierced. How approximately doing something like getting a physique casting executed? that's cool, unique and relaxing, it celebrates your physique and creates purely slightly paintings and does not scar. you could desire to try this to boot to any piercings or tattoos you like executed.

Don't use to much cream on it, let it dry out a little more & don't pick at it. For the Red I don't think that has anything to do with it, I have a Scottish Flag on my back (Red & Yellow) Let it heal on it's own..

DONT PUT ANYTHING ON IT. ITS OBVIOUSLY IRRITATTED.
YOUR OVER TREATING IT.

YOU NEED TO JUST LEAVE IT BE.
WASH IT 2X A DAY WITH A MILD ANTI BACTERIAL SOAP,PAT DRY.
AND GO BUY AQUAPHOR OINTMENT (found in the lotion aisle of any drug store) A little Goes a long way with this stuff.

DONT USE ANY ANTIBIOTIC OINTMENTS OR A&D THATS THE WORST THING FOR YOUR TATTOO.

It should be fine in about a week or so. just leave it alone.

LASONIL, it works a treat, i used to work in a studio and highly rec it, i used it on all of mine, its a tissue injury repair cream and it works brilliantly, its cheap and readily available, it has a consistancy like vaseline so it stays there continiously working, it wont sting and will make ur tat feel less tight as it heals, just remember to wash ur ta2 with warm soapy water, rinse and pat dry b4 u put it on,

When my husband got his tat we put chapstick on it. If you get the chapstick brand get the original I think it is wrapped in a black label. Just rub it on every few hours. He has never had to get a touch up and he has had it for about five years.
