Maybe she is busy. Kids will do that to you.

First off, you have to answer... do you really want to get involved with someone with a child... I am only 21, and I already have a hard enough time trying to set free time for dating. If you really like her, offer to have a stay at home date... show her that you are ok with the child. I know that a woman is very impressed by a man that knows her priorities. Also, 2 calls is far too few to warrant thoughts that she is upset... If you knew she couldn't find a sitter, you could have told her to try for another time... Thats all I have for you... hopefully it turns out for the best...

If she didn't have a sitter to keep the date with you...then why is she not home to answer calls at 5 and 9???? She may be upset, or worried that you're angry about the cancellation...but should at least talk with you about it

Well, yes, you are shy, and you are a wuss. She flaked on you and is getting away with it.

If you keep pursuing her despite her test, she's going to see you as weak. Think about it: if you were the one who canceled on a date and she kept calling to see what was wrong, and you knew that you could dictate when and where the next date would be, how much respect would you have for her?

I would drop her. If she calls back, just ask "how are you going to make it up to me?"

She's probably busy. You did just mention that she has a baby to care for. She has lots of things to do, laundry, cleaning, bathing the baby, feeding him, by the end of the night most parents are tired from all the running around throughout the day. She'll eventually get back to you. Just be patient.

-.-'

She could've just made that as an excuse to get out of the date. That's worse case scenario though. Maybe she's not home or something came up. Call her tomorrow and see what's up. If she keeps avoiding your calls, you've got your answer.

Find a new date. She's brushing you off. After having a child for a year, she knows what she is doing and it's convenient to blame it on the lack of a babysitter. Sorry, dude.

You should run. run run run far far far away. Beleive me, i dated a guy with a kid once and it was hell on earth. at first it wasnt so bad, it was kind of quaint even. i thought hey, i could do this, a kids not such a big deal. but HA you're kidding yourself. there are plenty of 20 year old girls w/o babies and baby drama. and believe me there will be drama. and god help you if that kid starts to expect you to be a part of its life, cause once that happens you feel obligated to stay. There is pressure involved in dating someone with kids, and if your 20, you dont need that. and you really wont want it, that kids gonna scream and crap all over your life. run run run run. i mean think about how many married coulples relationships fall apart after they have kids. it happens all the time, and they're in love. do you really want to do chuckie cheese, and infant birthday parties, and hear about peditricians, or try to get the kid to sleep so you can get it on, only to be rudely disturbed b/c it takes kids like 3 hours to fall asleep, or to have your stuff crayoned on or spit up on, oh my god the list goes on and on and on, and its all so not worth it. If you want kids, wait till you're like 28 and have a job and health insurance and a mortgage. You may not think you have to worry about any of that stuff but trust me, single parents...suck you in and before you know that kids gonna be callin you daddy and your young life will be over and a life of obligation and responsibility will set in. run run run.

why don't you get some flowers and some dinner, like a pizza for the next date and suggest to have the next date at her place so she does not have to get a sitter, she would probably appreciate it a lot
