and I have a couple of thingies of cream cheese in my fridge. How would the lemon bars be if I mixed the cream cheese in the lemon stuff before putting it on the crust? Could it work and actually turn into something good?

Thanks for your answers. I'm thinking that I shouldn't mess with the recipe, I'm not all that sure that it would be a good thing. I will try it when I have eggs to lose if it doesn't turn out.

You'll never know if YOU like them unless you try it. Sounds good to me though.

Well, I love lemon bars as is, so I think it could ruin them, but who knows unless you try it? My guess is it would dilute the intense lemon flavor of the
lemon curd topping, but make them both more fattening, and too rich maybe.

Before ruining a good batch of the lemon topping by doing it all the way and spreading it on the crust like that, why not take a teaspoon of the lemon curd sstuff, a teaspoon of cream cheese, mix that small amount together, and taste it to see if you like it that way.

Of course, if you have to bake it again, the cream cheese will melt and make a mess I think....this mixing should be the final step...I haven't looked at a lemon bar recipe in years.

Baking is more of a science than some other forms of cooking. Unless you have made the lemon bars before I wouldn't mess with the recipe.
If you really want to use up your cream cheese, make a cheesecake or get some bagels.

sounds good, you may need to add some lemon juice to increase the flavor and help make the cream cheese and lemon "stuff" smoother.

You could try in a small quantity first if you are not sure what will happen.
