Firstly, a chemical straigtener is also called a reverse perm. It uses the same thioglycolic acid that almost all perms use. Many women who get perms and have shorter hair get re-permed every 4-6 weeks. In my salon, we recommend at least a 4 week period in between straigtening and reperming but during that time, we recommend also a weekly deep condition and a moisturizing conditioner when you shampoo. Also, if you decide to have your curls permed back in, have your stylist make the curls slightly looser than your original as to not stress your hair as much. It will allow your hair adequate time to repair itself.

Now that you have it chemically straightened your best option would be to let it grow back out or for the perm to go away. Using a curling perm could further damage the hair causing it to fall out or become very dry. Deep conditioning your hair will make it stronger and feel softer so you might want to try that too if you don't like the feel of your hair.

They use the same chemicals to straighten your hair as what they use when you get a perm. It will take bout a couple of months for you to get your natural curls back. (at least 6 weeks)Wash your hair more often, every day if you can. Don't use shampoo or conditioner thats designed for permed hair.

That's easy if you want to add curls to your relaxed hair just use a quality curling iron. I can't emphasize enough that a curling iron is the most effective method of styling hair. With that said a curling iron utlizes heat to style hair safely without all the unwanted damage. If you want your hair to be shiny and healthy use a leave in conditioner. Also I know it sounds crazy but use mayonaise on your hair to give it that extra kick. Mayonaise has essential nutrients that protects chemically treated hair. Beverly Johnson uses mayonaise on her hair for it to look fabulous. With a quality curling iron, a leave in conditioner, as well as mayonaise can make your relaxed hair have added shine and health, and you will also have the curls you crave. With these tips you will look fab and glam.

For the time being you would just have to get a roller set until your natural hair grows back out. You don't want to put a curly perm since you just had a relaxer because it'll make all of your hair fall out!
