Um, that really depends on your confession...if your church says it's a sin, and some do, and if you follow the doctrine of your faith, then it is. I personally think that God made coffee plants just like everything else, and that moderate consumption is not a sin. As with everything, moderation is the key :)

there is no evidence in the bible to suggest that drinking coffee is a sin. though latter day saints (mormons) have been taught by thier prophet, joseph smith, that drinking coffee is not advisable.
i am unsure about other religions, (islam, jewish, etc). coffee, like many other things in this world, has both its good and bad points. i beleive everything in "everything in moderation". but all comes down to you.. if its important to you and you think it maybe a sin, then dont drink coffee :)

Please for goodness sake. Drinking coffee is not a sin. I don't know why you think it is? But there is nothing to do with religion i let you know first. So is up to you. You love to drink coffee you drink. Don't love to drink coffee then you don't drink it.

Coffe is an addiction forming drink. Like any other good thing if carried to addiction level it can lead to undesirable consequences. Not exactly a sin , but an unsafe pracice.

In my religion (Islam), it's not a sin at all. except if u drink 10 cup a day and it affects your health, it's a sin and stupidity (I guess). just be moderate, and you'll be okey.

Of course not. That is one of the false ideas perpetuated by a particular American "religion" established in the 1800's. It has no basis in scripture. None!
