Kenwood is a very reliable vineyard for red wines, in my area you can get into something very nice for about $15-$20. But even their cheap red table wine isn't too bad.

If you want to get into something more expensive, try a Spottswood Cabernet or anything from Ferrari Carrano.

Most of the California whites are nice and some of the rose wines too. It's really all about personal preference I would say any of Berringer's wines won't dissapoint and they newer label Barefoot has some real promise from what I have tasted so far. One of my favorite wines that I have had in the last 6 months is made in Australia by Fat Bastard Vinyards and it is their Shiraz.

this is very subjective obviously, but i have not met a single person who does not love this wine: Schmitt & Sohne Riesling. It's a favorite of mine and never disappoints--it has a fruity, faintly floral taste...it goes well with anything. and its inexpensive to boot--7-10 bucks a bottle.

we can't buy wine in our grocery stores here
it is against the law
you have to go to a liquor store
(but we can legally drink and buy alcohol at 18 year old)

Altivo Malbec is a wonderful very inexpensive wine ($11CDN)
I used to drink Wold Blass yellow label all the time but have switched
