YES and YES. I'm not talking about torturing them like the terrorist have tortured their captives (remember Daniel Pearle?) but sleep deprivation, standing for long periods of time, loud heavy metal music or whatever the situation calls for. Just remember that we are dealing with people who strap explosives on themselves and BOOM!!! I doubt that sitting them down with a cup of coffee and a pack of cigs. and saying, "I don't mean to pry, but do you mind if I ask you why you have that 5lb. bag of Anthrax in your suit case?" "Oh you do mind? I'm sorry!!! Here's $100 for cab fair to the airport. Please don't be offended!!!!!" will work. The ACLU and any other bleeding hearts can go to------and stay put.

Everyone seems to be worried about the deaths of American Military personnel. What better way then to obtain information from the ones killing them. An interrogation is an interview. It is not torture. In layman terms and interview of a person is polite. an interrogation of a suspect is harsh and demanding. An interview would be in a question : Can you tell me what happened? An interrogation would be : I know you did it and I know how you did it now tell me where you hid the evidence. We can keep them awake or make them sit upright in a chair for hours to weaken them to talk. I do not believe they should be beaten or physically abused. The Geneva Convention under Haig prevents the military from causing physical harm to combatants. Now consider the possibility of a dirty bomb in one of our major cities. Where several thousand might die. Would you not want to use any means necessary to find out where it was from a suspect?

you won't like this answer! yet please think of approximately it! decrease than united statesregulation a terrorist suspect must be taken care of in simple terms comparable to any suspect in the different crime. the reason I say it is via the be conscious suspect. keep in mind it particularly is harmless till shown accountable! If we enable interrogators to come back to a decision what procedures are to used based at one in all those expertise they are searching for we are inviting hardship! it must be you or me or one in all our young little ones who gets arrested over a bad tip or purely for in simple terms being interior the incorrect place on the incorrect time. simply by fact the interrogators think of all of us understand something approximately terrorism we would be interrogated greater harshly. which skill we now no longer have any rights as a suspect. that's a understand actuality that the main unreliable information comes from breaking a suspect down mentally or bodily to the factor they allow you to already know something to get out from decrease than the rigidity. The Patriot act already helps this to be achieved and it is barely between the reasons that's a bad piece of law. in simple terms think of appropriate to the way you may experience as a SUSPECT!!! i understand those are undesirable situations and everybody is calling for a answer, yet i do no longer think of stripping united statesvoters of their rights is the respond! That in simple terms makes us greater like them!

The U.S. should only interrogate terrorist suspects in our homeland and NO I disapprove of torture because that makes us no more than terrorists.

What would you say if you were innocent of any wrongdoing and the government decided to torture you because you had a political enemy who was in power?

That is what your question is actually asking.

You don't have to be a terrorist to be tortured. All you have to do is be accused of it by the government, which is morally bankrupt and accountable to nobody under the falsely-named "patriot act".

Any country who allows torturing of suspects, is lowering themselves to be as bad as the terrorists. If you can't get the information using honorable means, you have to let it go.
