Short answer: NO

Subliminal means literally "below threshold" meaning you are unaware of it...in some labratory testing sublininal messages such as images flashed on a screen did affect emotional responses.(peoples who's photos followed unperceived kittens got more positive ratings then those preceeded by unperceived werewolves) but enduring effects on behavior WERE NOT ACHEIVED. The near-consensus inamong research psychologists is that these tapes do not work.

Be careful with the self-help industry. Some of it is good advice, but a lot of it is complete bs or vague statements of the obvious. There are a lot of professional self-help authors who offer lame get-rich-quick advice in a neverending stream of books, when what they should be saying is "get rich by writing worthless books and fooling people into buying them...." Like all that Rich Dad Poor Dad crud, for example.

I've had all sorts of expensive stuff played in my ears and it never really helped. I think will has more to do with it.
