The friend, after all it was his free will to help you, not Jesus enlightenment.

We often jump to conclusions about the people we see and then later realise that they're really not what we thought they are. Many times, the same happens when we try to perceive the character of God whom we cannot see.

The person of God became visible in Jesus Christ when He walked the earth 2000 years ago. He had nothing that offended or caused hurt, but instead His own life and teaching were a balm to the broken and offended in heart. He had Himself to give on the cross for the offenses we have made.

As long as you live in this world, you will have trouble. The bible talks about Satan and fallen angels (spirits) that are depraved by nature which are able to incite people to do things that they later regret doing. (If this were not true, then professional witches, mediums and spiritists would not exist even in these modern times)

God cannot be put into trouble nor does he cause trouble. He cannot be untrue to himself.

I want you to know that your only best friend in this world really is Jesus. A small portion from Bible Scripture to let you know the nature and person of God: (John, Chapter: 3, Verses:16,17&18)

16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[f] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

We always tend to associate our features & limitations to God also. God is not a finite or defined object. He is above everything we humans can perceive. He dont have the time dimension at all, implies He knows the future also. He knows that this trouble is going to occur to you. It is a test for you from him. This world itself is a test for all of us. When u get doubt on the fundamental thing of man creation, please clear that first. Read Quran, Bible, Hindu Vedas by yourself. Dont listen to any human about this. Bcos most dont know the real purpose.
There is a huge advantage in thinking that God is testing us. Even joyful moments are tests for us. We all can overcome any dismay or tragedy easily. Today so many diseases, suicides are taking place bcos man cant take the challenges easily. This doesnt mean that we can simply sit saying God will take care of everything. Example, in Maths we assume "Limit tends to infinity" and solve many complex problems. What is this Infinity? No man knows it. SImilarly in Physics we assume a smallest wave particle called "Photon" which dont have any proof for existence physically, then proceed with atomic physics. Without such assumption & faith, physics is meaningless. So faith is not against science, it is a part & basis of science. Likewise we have billions of wonders around us and in our own body to proclaim the existence of God. Belief in such an Entity will only make our actions better, give peace to our mind in spite of so much anxious moments of our life. We cant say that we can believe everything only when we touch, feel, see, hear etc. Using our 6th sense we can see something but infer something else from that. Still human dont know many things in science. So how can we define God & imagine God.

Both. Because it was God's plan for your friend to save you. Know one knows why you were in trouble in the first place but maybe it was just something you had to go through to improve upon yourself. I believe everything happens for a reason.

You are your own saviour.
Heard what those smart word jugglers ( like the one above me )have to say
" God helps those who help themselves "
Two conclusions a) If I do help myself why do I need God ? and b) God wants us to protect our own self interests - be selfish !!

Is this a trick question?

Who sent your friend to save you?

Who saved you from hell? Your friend or God?
