I have basically no life, so I figure if I learn a new language I can either make more friends, or know more than boring old English.

I REALLY want to learn Russian. (Yes, I know how hard to learn that language is, but...) I feel like I NEED to learn this language, but my mom would never get me a tutor, let alone buy me a computer program... so, how can I learn this language?

Thank you... and yes, I know, it takes an extremely long time to learn, but still.. thanks!

I feel like I SHOULD know this language, b/c I am very Russian, but I don't know it... that's the only reason I really want to learn it, and I don't need to know it by a certain time, but I'd be nice to speak it by the time I turn 16. Thanks!

As long as you start from little such as the alphabet, numbers, and grammers. You will begin to build up your Russian vocabulary with russian pronoucation on your own. You can buy the books and CD's at Barons & Noble and at Borders Book Store for as little as $8.

Check into college courses, too. Some offer a very wide range of languages... The one University that comes to mind for me is Portland State University, just because it's the only one I've ever really looked into...

Nothing wrong with learning Russian.
You can get some books from the library that will give you a good start.
You can also listen to Russian radio stations here:

And see Russian TV here:

Have a great time!
