You need to see your MD and if they seem unconcerned, get a new one. Don't stop until you find someone who will listen to you and help.

The main thing is that you need to be taking your prenatal vitamin. The eating is not so much important in the first stages of your pregnancy as it is in the later stages of your pregnancy. The only reason I say this is because I threw up the whole entire time I was pregnant with my daughter, and I was scared because I absolutely could NOT eat. My doctor said as long as I drank water and took my prenatal vitamin, the baby was suviving on the nutrients that were already stored in my body and would grow with or without actual food. He said food was just "feeding" me, not the baby. I wouldn't worry too much about it just yet, but I do think that it is important that you seek medical attention, like counseling or psychiatric care immediately for your depression. I suffer from that as well, and let me tell you, it will get worse and it will take you down, somewhere you don't want to be....get help as soon as possible...good luck.

You must eat because this will affect your child's health immensely. I am sorry to hear that you have been depressed lately. Depression can also affect babies. Now, don't get stressed out, but you must find ways to make yourself happy. Also, nutrition is very important during pregnancy. Espcially a good amount of folic acid during the first part of the pregnancy. You should be eating well, also, take prenatal vitamins. I hope that you overcome your depression and things start to take a turn for the better with you and your husband.
Thoughts and Prayers.

I was sick in the first 4 months and could eat NOTHING BUT dry biscuits/toast with vegemite and red cordial, and both my kids are fine. I did take a pregnancy vitamin, just in case- but some woman cannot hold theese down. I think you need to talk to a g.p., nurse, doctor to get help with your depression before you hurt yourself or your child. Your hormones are all over the place and every woman is different. If you are sure that this is not hormonal and you may have been depressed before you found out you were pregnant than this is different. I dont think anyone here can answer your question accurately because we do not know the whole truth. You need a good support system- family, friends, pregnant mums group, your g.p., nurse, doctor should be able to help you with theese. Sort out your issues in your relationship with your husband and get counselling if needed. He may be just as afraid as you are. I was 20 when I had my first child and I know it is very scary and you want the best for her/him. I had post-natal depression and I have never been to any place that dark in my mind before. I had to get help before I hurt myself or my child. Just remember you are not alone and women have been having babies since...forever! Get help if you need it- do not feel ashamed, everyone has humility and grace. All the best with your little miracle!

dito everyone
I had morning sickness all through my pregnancy-it went away for about a month--at the beginning though, my nutritionist said that the food didnt really matter at that point if I couldnt keep it down as long as I drank a LOT of fluids, especially water.
not eating because of being stressed is a different issue though- you need to talk to a doctor about it.

If you are suffering from stress or depression you really need to discuss it with your doctor-putting stress on your baby is not good. You really need to be eating because your baby needs nutrients and so do you- I hope you are taking prenatal vitamins.

People used to think that babies would get what they needed from the mother regardless if she ate well or not, but now they are finding out that is not the case. If u aren't taking care of yourself u aren't taking care of your baby.

See your doctor or midwife. They can forward you to someone who specialises in depression who can support you. Dont forget your midwife is also there to support you whilst pregnant so you are not alone. Please eat because the baby will not loose out, they will take all the nutrition they need from your body and it will be you who suffers in the end. Have you any friends/family who you can talk to? Please, please see someone for support.
