"Your information about the wars in defense of Islam is wrong. The total number of people who died in these defensive skirmishes spread over 23 years were total in few hundreds!
These were wars against tribes and their accomplices who tried to eliminate the Muslim community at it start. This was a struggle for survivor sometimes against their own tribes.
Muhammad (pbuh) did not kill any innocent person. There were always strict orders to the faithful not to harm anyone except fighting against combatants.
Who told you that Muslim consider other sinners if they are not doing any sin? They can leave that judgment to the Almighty God. However, if a person does not believe in their faith then by definition they consider him a non-believer in their faith.
No part of Muhammad's life is shrouded in secrecy or mystery. Every part of his life is recorded in the light of history. So there is no such thing "If they (Muslim) realized.....". They have learned about his life from all sides including the abuses dumped on him by the orientalists after the crusades and still continuing to do so but with no effect. Many realists in the west have acclaimed Muhammad’s moral uprightness but some still spew out their venom against him.
Muslims do not consider Muhammad anything other than a human being and chosen by the Almighty God to deliver God’s divine message to mankind. And when God prepares someone to deliver His divine message then He knows how to prepare and protect His messenger for the delivery of that message.

Why Muslim are so much attached to their religion? Well, they do not consider Islam as a religion as other do about their religion. It is considered a way of life, acting and living it 24 hours of the day. The message is simple and there is nothing confusing, unreasonable or illogical in the faith that they have to accept. So, it is their daily life rather than calling it an attachment to religion.
