I have medium length hair and when it gets dry it sponges up so it looks really short, if i get my hair pressed can I wet my hair afterwards or will it just shrink up again?

If you wet it, it will "sponge up" again. I don't recommend getting your hair pressed often. It is very damaging. Try a straightening balm instead.
