I love hummers. And the reasoning cause they are big, tough, no-one's gonna argue with you on the road and if you come across someone giving you road rage you can just run em off the road. I'm gonna get mine made with a machine gun on the roof to shoot volvo driver's off the road. I don't have one they are incredibly expensive. Not to mention petrol, maintenance and insurance horrific. But doesn't hurt to dream. I could think of better places to put my money but if i was a billionaire i'd have one.

COntrary to NON hummer owners, Hummers are not really that expensive and the price is no different than owning an Escalade or a stupid Yukon. Hummers are safe and dependable. It hugs the road and again contrary to some people who have never even seen an interior of one, Hummer owners do go off-roading and drive in the snow with it. At least I do!!!Hummers are so cool to have as it has the feel of the car but you feel safer as the frames are heavy. Ever tried opening or closing a door of the hummer??? It;s funny how people say how ugly or what a gas guzzler it is when the only reason why they don't have one is that either a.) they can't maneuver big cars (meaning they are lousy and stupid drivers) or b.) simply because they can't afford to have one. Peace!

Because they THINK it's an offroad-capable vehicle and they have "manhood" issues. The original M-1 was a master at being bad-@ss, but the GM iterations are simply stripped down ideas that have NO PRACTICAL PURPOSE whatsoever.

Hummer owners DO NOT:

- Go offroad (backing over your flowerbed doesn't count)
- Rock climb
- Win Dakar rallies (just ask Jeff Gordon)
- Manage switchbacks
- Fit between boulders
- Actually carry 7 people

In short, Hummers are just MINI- VANS for people with blatant insecurities. Come on, chrome tail light guards and a winch for a 12mpg box with 6" of ground clearance?

i might take a hummer, and use it like it is meant for use: For some offroad relaxing. i might pass with the smaller one, the H3, by way of fact a smaller wheelbase is greater useful for parking, and for offroad use. Plus, with some remapping of the european, you may recover from 26 MPG, that's greater useful than my automobile.

Some people just like something because it's DIFFERENT. Others like it because it's big and brawny. Others like it because it's expensive.

Personally, if I'm going to spend that kind of money, I'll buy a motorhome that has a bedroom and stall shower. MUCH more useful vehicle for the money.

Not me...takes too much gas...its a waste of space...and its pretty ugly...but its suppose to signify that you got money i suppose..either that or an idiot for spending that much on something thats going to eat a pretty lil hole through ur wallet every month, I'd rather save the money i would end up spending on that and go on a vacation ;)

The hummer is a sign of wealth. It's gaudy, but so are some people.

Ah no. Think about balding middle age men trying to make up for their decreased sexual ability and you'll be getting closer to the reasoning.
