I've always heard women's laments over falling for the gay guy who is perfect. I really want to spend more time with him, just as my friend. But how do I stop from getting more enamored?

My guy friend is so great and dynamic! Intelligent, culturally adventurous, well-spoken. I love it! He's ideal and excites me. I would love to love him, but hes gay. I would like to believe that I do not like him, but I know I do b/c in the back of mind I find myself wishing he was bi so I had a chance. (Isn't that pathethic?)

Well, put it this way....if he's "gay"-then you're not really going to have a choice in what happens...cause it's gonna be "nothing" sorry to say.
You'll just have to accept that what they say is true, "The good ones are either taken or gay"

You cant help who you fall for.Maybe you should go somewhere where other guys will be,guys that your attracted to.Try to make yourself see that he's gay,and will probably be for the rest of his life.Try to move on and find another guy.

I agree with sunny.

It happens to alot of us, but it hellps not seeing him with another girl.

Dont feel pathetic, look at it this way he will be your best firend forever, and wont have to ever worry about a jelous girl trying to prevent him from seeing you.

Think of it this way. Yes you cannot have him, but neither can any other girl you know. It's not personal he just likes men better.

We've all been there.
