Nope ! Non-matter cannot create matter ! Spontaneous generation is impossible ! During all of recorded human history there has never been a substaniated case of a living thing being produced from anything other than another living thing ! Disorder cannot create order ! Knowledge cannot create itself ! Knowledge can only be increased from an original source of knowledge ! God is the author of all knowledge , time , and space !

NO! Questions the Big Bang Does Not Answer

A major challenge to the big bang has come from observers using the corrected optics of the Hubble Space Telescope to measure distances to other galaxies. The new data is giving the theorists fits!

Astronomer Wendy Freedman and others recently used the Hubble Space Telescope to measure the distance to a galaxy in the constellation of Virgo, and her measurement suggests that the universe is expanding faster, and therefore is younger, than previously thought. In fact, it “implies a cosmic age as little as eight billion years,” reported Scientific American magazine just last June. While eight billion years sounds like a very long time, it is only about half the currently estimated age of the universe. This creates a special problem, since, as the report goes on to note, “other data indicate that certain stars are at least 14 billion years old.” If Freedman’s numbers hold up, those elderly stars would turn out to be older than the big bang itself!

Still another problem for the big bang has come from steadily mounting evidence of “bubbles” in the universe that are 100 million light-years in size, with galaxies on the outside and voids inside. Margaret Geller, John Huchra, and others at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics have found what they call a great wall of galaxies some 500 million light-years in length across the northern sky. Another group of astronomers, who became known as the Seven Samurai, have found evidence of a different cosmic conglomeration, which they call the Great Attractor, located near the southern constellations of Hydra and Centaurus. Astronomers Marc Postman and Tod Lauer believe something even bigger must lie beyond the constellation Orion, causing hundreds of galaxies, including ours, to stream in that direction like rafts on a sort of “river in space.”

All this structure is baffling. Cosmologists say the blast from the big bang was extremely smooth and uniform, according to the background radiation it allegedly left behind. How could such a smooth start have led to such massive and complex structures? “The latest crop of walls and attractors intensifies the mystery of how so much structure could have formed within the 15-billion-year age of the universe,” admits Scientific American, a problem that only gets worse as Freedman and others roll back the estimated age of the cosmos still more.

Why do I need to believe in them? Evolution can be seen happening and therefore needs no belief. How is it possible not to believe in a fact? It can only be accepted as what it is.
The Big Bang theory is just a possible explanation for part of the process of the creation of the universe. It is a possible mechanism and if anybody wants to believe it was one used by God to start the universe it is their choice.
I see more and more the attitude that we should not allow facts to interfere with faith. Surely the challenge for any faith is to accept and integrate the facts as they are into their belief structure. Denial does not really help and choosing not to believe things which are obviously true does not add credibility to a religion.
Why cannot people just believe in God because they choose to, accept facts as reality, see that other views are equally valid and rejoice in the diversity of man rather than believing that I am right and everybody should be like me.

God may have caused the Big bang billions of years ago, before the creation of our solar system. But the Big Bang also might not be a viable theory. I have read other explanations to red shift. Evolution the process has been shown over and over to be true. However it can be argued that it has limits. I personally believe there is not enough evidence for people to say with confidence that we are all descendants from single celled organisms. There is simply too much genetic difference. So in short. It is possible that the universe started with a bang based on scientific finds. But the chance that it was by accident is astronomically minute also according to studies by science. If it was but just a little too much power than needed our universe would be stretched thin into nothingness, and if it were just a little less the power it needed to expand then the universe would colapse on itself.
Scientist have said that it is basically impossible for the big bang not to have had a designer or someone to control it just perfectly so that it would make the universe we know today. Quite interesting if you think about it.

Well you would have to be a fool not to believe in Evolution. I mean good greif fossils have been found. I think that most people who don't believe in evolution don't know anything about it.

As far as the Big Bang goes the evidence of this happening is everywhere in the cosmos.

I wonder though instead of a big bang if maybe there was a big spew. Maybe on the other side of a black hole. I saw a program about scientist disovering that there are some stars that are older than the universe itself. I have not heard anymore about this though.

No I don't. As an example, even Darwin acknowledged "To suppose that the eye...could have been formed by evolution, seems I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree." Robert Jastrow, a scientist, stated "The eye appears to have been designed; no designer of telescopes could have done better."
The human eye has 100 million rods & cones & its layer of neurons perform at least 10 billion calculations per second.

Im an Atheist and I think both are possible, but they're just theories and chances are neither will be proven or disproven in our lifetimes. Don't think that just because I don't think either are 100% true that I believe in creation, I think its less likely that the theory of creation will ever be proven.
