There seems to be a debate over Evolution & Creation.

I have a question for Evolution believers, all the evidence I have seen shows the opposite, mutation & natural selection remove information.

Can you show me one case of increased information since this is what evolution is based on?

I thought cancer & all the other diseases have scientists looking into genetic code to find predisposition in the gene code?

I am a christian, & I have read a lot of info about creation/evolution & most of my info has come from a christian basis, but some of the info I have got from evolutionist & some have been called leaders in their field seem to come across foolish in the way they present themselves. I'm not saying you will change my belief but if you link sites I will try to read them.

This is actually a pretty easy question for people with some Biology background.

Since you were honest enough to ask this question in the Biology section as well, some people (including, I would hope the asker) might be interested in checking out the answers there:

Kudos for professing a reasonable open mind to this issue.

Nobody is trying to change your beliefs as a Christian. Most Christian churches, including the Catholic church, have no problem with evolution. Evolution is NOT incompatible with anything in the New Testament or with anything in Christ's message. Evolution is only incompatible with a rigidly literal reading of the Old Testament, and even then only with a few narrowly defined passages in Genesis.

This battle that has been erected between religion and science is one of the greatest injustices perpetrated by certain fundamentalist leaders. It forces faithful people into the false choice of having to reject either faith or science ... and BOTH are incredibly important to the human spirit.

First i might decide to point out that that's a mistake to have confidence that mutation purely destroys or eliminates coaching, interior the final public of situations coaching is the two duplicated or copied incorrectly with a loss, benefit or a metamorphosis in base pairs. right here is an occasion of a properly documented remark of acquirement of latest genetic documents - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - In 1975 a tension of Flavobacterium replace into chanced on that variety into able to digesting byproducts of nylon manufacture. those byproducts do not exist for sure and can desire to not have been chanced on interior the international till nylons invention in 1935. the certainly enzymes (now generally happening as nylonase) used to digest the compounds have been peculiar in that they had no effect on components different than the nylon byproducts. Upon interpreting the micro organism further, it replace into deduced that a definite tension had better the enzyme simply by a physique shift in that's DNA - that's, one extra base pair being further to a definite codon simply by a copying blunders, disrupting gene format and thoroughly removing that's skill to offer the amino acids for that's unique set of digestive enzymes yet giving it this novel new nylonase enzyme. that's going to be stated that whilst nylonase is powerful at breaking down nylon byproducts, that's under 10% as powerful because of the fact the bacterium's unique enzymes have been on its unique foodstuff sources.

Your question is meaningless unless you define "information". You seem to be using it in a very restrictive sense. If you mean "beneficial mutation", then consider the mutations that resulted in humans having a much larger neocortex than other primates.

I suspect you'll reject this claim, because you'll say that we didn't see it happen, and that "god did it", not "evolution". If so, then I think you are boxing things so that you'll never have a satisfactory answer. If that makes you feel better, so be it. But it doesn't make you correct.

A nice laboratory demonstration of a beneficial mutation with information added.

Someone can DOCUMENT how CANCER got ADDED to genes.

You have PICTURES BEFORE AND AFTER to PROVE THIS.

Cancer, apparenly, is in the Genome Code and is triggered in some people at a point in their life and not triggered in other people.

No one fully understands why this is.

EVEYRONE has a PREDESTINATION to cancer, but ONLY SOME have that PREDESTINATION triggered.

Yes! Certainly!

Cystic Fibrosis. Cancer. Multiple Sclerosis. Parkinson's. Alzheimer's.

Need I go on?

You should be asking if any BENEFICIAL information is added. Cuz that'll turn up a big ZERO.
