That's a great question! I was just telling my boyfriend that same thing. It's pretty ironic! I know when I stopped drinking sodas, it helped cut down on my cravings. I started drinking just water and sometimes juice. Try having like a water bottle next to you all the time because like the other girl said, it's an oral fixation. Good luck with it. I am going to go back on my routine too

Have you talked to your doctor about this? When you talk about eating constantly and not gaining weight, I think about an over active thyroid gland.
If you only do this at certain times in the year, I don't know, I don't know if a thyroid can be over active some of the time and not others.
For sure there is something not working correctly in your body if you are hungry all the time and you need to get this checked out by a doctor.
I have hypo- glycemia. I eat but get hungry again soon, especially if I eat too many carbs at one time. I have to eat 6 or 7 small meals a day with a controlled carb diet. I also have to have a snack before bed time of protein and fat so that I don't wake up in the middle of the night from low blood sugar.
I hope this helps.

You are likely to burn at least 1500 calories a day, so you may find that you feel weaker than you should. Your biggest danger is bone damage in later life. A common misconception is that eating disorders are people dieting 'to be thin' and are all about starving. Actually, not eating enough because you don't like the sensation of food is a very real sign of a disorder (the media hyping it up to be about being skinny means the REAL reasons don't get seen, or the real symptoms). It could also be a signal of depression. I would see the doctor to get checked out because it MIGHT be (just maybe) you have a very slow metabolism (but that could be a sign of a thyroid complaint), or maybe you have a slight depression. The fact you say you used to like food but just 'went off it' suggests that kind of thing - this behaviour was what people got ill with in the old days when they say 'pined away with a broken heart'. If left unchecked, it can develop into full blown anorexia, when it starts as a touch of food- symptomatic stress.

Citrin-based products. In other words, apples. The more fruit, beans, and other fiber products you eat, the fuller you get, the quicker your liver gets what it needs, and the better you'll feel.
But walk at least 20 min a day, or else you won't get anywhere.
If you must, buy citrin at the pharmacy, or better yet, use Apple Cider Vinegar in all your recipets.
For example:
Chicken, use shoyu and garlic and apple cider vinegar to marinate. Steam brown rice for a nice bed for it.
Leftovers are great!
If you want less fat, strip the skin and visible fat off first.
Places like Botanic Choice.com have stuff like that.

If you just cant stop yourself from eating with will power, maybe I can help. Chew up a pill of Aleve with nothing to wash it down. After ten minutes eat a moldy piece of cheese. If that doesnt work, there is another option. Its pretty simple. When you go to the bathroom from now on dont flush. Within a few days you will have a nasty mixture brewing in your bathroom. Wait exactly one week for the mixture to brew before you start treatment. Now the trick is everytime you want to eat, kneel down before the thrown and put you face at seat level and take in the biggest breath you have ever taken. If you still want to eat after that, go to a psychologist.

This going to sound silly but it has worked for me.
When I get that hungry feeling, my stomach is making itself heard, etc., and I shouldn't be hungry I just tell myself over and over "I am not hungry, I am not hungry, I am not hungry..." And then I can eventually convince myself I don't need to eat just because my stomach is telling me I have to. Our stomach is getting used to getting fed at certain times or when you see something you'd like to eat.
If the above method isn't for you, drink water with lemon. Ice water curbs the appetite.
