give yourself three days (and nights) to wallow in your hurt of missing hte person...in this time cry until your sick, throw stuff, eat anything you want and as much as you want, play sad songs,.what ever it is that you do when you are hurt...forget showers , brushing your teeth and your hair, don't even bother getting dressed if you don't feel like it.......whatever you do...LIVE your pain....then at the end of the full three days...of self pity...look at ourself in the mirror and say ..IT IS OVER. IT is done. I shall survive and gone with my life. Then your space ...can step in the shower and wash away your pain....Then get on with the business of living...get busy ...throw yourself into your work, your school, eat balanced meals, get balanced exercise program, look your best and get out there ....you will be way too busy to even think about this person..."What's his name" for anything more then a fleeting milisecond....
try it ...then let's us know how you do...

Honestly sometimes this feeling can last years. It depends how deep your feelings were for the person. Get out there, meet people but don't settle for anyone who doesn't match up. Wait and make sure you fall in love.

If you still have feelings for this person, and there is no reason you cannot be together, be upfront. Tell them you still think about them. If they don't feel the same way, you need to find a way to stop thinking about them. Take up a new hobbie, stay busy.

If this has been going on a long time and you cannot stop no matter what you try, this is compulsive behavior and you might need professional help. If it is just a 'crush' kind of thing, then you are normal and we all go through it ---it will pass and you will get your self control back. Just roll with it, daydream, have some fun with your thoughts--and remember, 'this too shall pass.'

find someone new, spend as much time as possible with someone else, or move away, that really helps because you have no way of seeing that person around town and you know that you just cant get up and go see him.Start a new life, after all you only live once and trying new things can lead to a life that you might like better.

Cease all contact with him.Don't torture yourself by calling him, emailing him, looking at pics of him. Get busy, take up a new hobby, start going to the gym, volunteer in your community. And most importantly give it time. It will be hard at first but be strong and it will get easier.

By focusing on something positive that will keep you and your mind busy. For example clean out your closet by throwing away or giving away old clothes you can no longer wear or want. Another example would be do something nice for someone else who is less fortune than you.

hate them. find things that u dont like about that person and tell urself that u hate them. if u tell urself u hate them long enough, u will eventually believe it and then u will no longer think of them.
it worked for me, i hope it works for you.

BTW: do not by any means find someone else. cuz while it may sound easy, u'll only be kidding urself.

Give it Time... all things work out. I know that is a bit common but it's a truth that always comes through.
