If you introduce them gradually to each other, most likely yes, but remember that cats are very territorial animals, and need lots of space.
Give your new cat plenty of time to herself and for the first few days keep the cats separated until they get used to each other's smells and appearances.
When introducing them, allow supervised visits that gradually increase in time over about a week or so until they seem relatively noncombative(howling and posturing will happen the first few days, and is normal)--a few cat spats may happen, but don't interfere unless the fur really flies. Let them work out and negotiate their own territory and things should be fine.

As soon as you can get both spayed if their not. Being their both females you will go through some fighting as the kitten gets older, assuming the 2nd is a kitten. If their both adults, their going to fight over who's the boss. We have 13 cats and a male kitten. 11 of the cats are females and we still go through rearranging of the boss. Most of our cats get along, but we have one that was a rescue at age 2, now 9 ,and she rarely gets along with any of the others. The kitten also a rescue was accepted by most of the cats. Just give them at least a month, your patience, and plenty of attention. Start with each alone, then work up to both together. Throw a couple of balls at the same time and maybe you'll get each to chase them.

they'll get along eventually. just be patient. it took my cats two months to get used to each other. give them both equal amounts of attention, so one cat dosent feel like they are more of a princess than the other one.

If you give them enough time they should be able to get along, unless one of them really really doesnt like other cats, but over time they should be fine.

My mom has two cats, and they don't lay together or anything. They eat together, play together and the younger of the two respects the older cat, most times.

maybe, in my experience female cats are territorial inside and males are territorial outside. It can be interesting to watch.
