Personally, I would stick with Aspirin as it is the safest....

Aspirin is reasonably
likely to cause gastric ulcers, which can be life threatening if ignored
but which respond to withdrawal of the medication. Acetaminophen doesn't
seem to cause ulcers but there are uncommon reactions to it in which liver
failure occurs and this may not respond to therapy, so death is a
possibility. Ibuprofen is very likely to cause ulcers, with 100% of dogs
developing ulcers with the use of ibuprofen in at least one study

Call your vet. Most animals get liver damage really easy from Tylenol (so a no for that one), but I haven't a clue about Advil. Most times my dogs have had pain or swelling, they prescribed baby aspirin.

NO...Don't give Tylenol or Advil....Asprin would be acceptable, but I would take my dog to the vet for pain relief medication...they know what and how much to give in order to relieve pain.

All dogs are different but when my dog got sick the vet said that it could have been caused from licking an empty advil bottle.
So I would not chance it!!

I wouldn't give my dog acetamethophen (tylenol) just because you need to give the right dosage so that your dog won't get overdosed they can have liver problems...PLUS there's lots of meds (pain meds) out there especially for dogs...you can find them at petco or petsmart,.

NO!

The most you can give the dog yourself is a baby asprin, but if it's a small dog, not even that!

Take your dog to the vet if it's experiencing pain!

NO, they both can cause serious damage to the dog's internal organs and they can actually kill the dog. If your do needs pain relief call your vet and ask for their recommendation.
