wha, do they scotch guard them or something?

I didn't mean to sound disparaging with the scotch guard remark, it's just that they're so white they hurt my eyes.

Some do use a dry cleaners, but uniforms tend to yellow from the chemicals after a while. I would wash mine with hot water, 1cup of bleach, and detergent. To get some stains out, there is a product called Zout that's sold in the exchange that works really good on whites. On the dress blue uniform there is white piping, that tends to yellow from dry cleaners. The only way to get them back to white is a toothbrush and detergent.

Thats the only thing I don't like about the uniform, is keeping it clean. I found dry cleaners is the best way. If you wash them in the washing machine they tend to get a little dingy and start to turn grey. I always dry clean mine.

No I used to use regular bleach...not too much or they will turn yellow. Otherwise I would take them to the cleaners when I got lazy and tired of doing it myself.
