The same.

The same does not mean an ancestor or a different kind of corn.

Corn=Maize=Corn. like Water=Agua=Water

2 different words for the SAME THING.

There are many different varieties, but depending upon what country you live in, you call it Corn or Maize or perhaps another word that still means the same thing.

There is no difference. Maize is a Native Indian word for corn. Just don't ask me which tribe.

Maize is considered the ancestor of corn. It is still grown, but more for its aesthetic value than its nutritive value. The ears are quite colorful, and much more interesting than modern corn, but also much smaller, with smaller kernels.
