Compressibility of filter cakes.

The theory is the relationship between Volume verses Time.

You should observe that cake resistance matters a little, but compressibility matters a lot. When the cake is not very compressible, more driving force gives more filtrate. A compressible cake can actually give much less volume of filtrate when higher pressure compacts it too much.
