So many people don't believe in demons because they can't see them..........Oxygen exists even though we can't see it.It's real because our life depends on it and we have science to thank for showing that to us. Cars have designers and blueprints, they don't just "exist".....same with houses, novels, etc.
My point is this: The public doesn't want to think that people who are diagnosed with "multiple personality disorder" are demon-possessed. Rather, that they have a "problem identifying with themselves". In fact, biblically, Jesus threw demons out of people and many lores speak of spiritual beings(evil) ones, especially in the middle ages.......but now they are dismissed as just "stories". Ever had your hair in the back of your neck stand up, or felt like someone touched your head or hair or rubbed your arm, when no one was there?
People couldn't handle knowing about the spiritual realm since most people couldn't handle the living realm they are in now. It would blow their minds that other things are there besides themselves............

People do not believe in demons because they either don't believe in Satan, and therefore cannot believe in God, or it would shatter their idea that homosexuals and immoral people don't go to hell. (Which they do, and will.)
John 8:34
Jesus answered them, “I tell you the solemn truth, 1 everyone who practices 2 sin is a slave 3 of sin
Rom 1:18
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people 1 who suppress the truth by their 2 unrighteousness, 3
2Timothy 4:4
And they will turn away from hearing the truth, but on the other hand they will turn aside to myths. 1

Nope. People don't believe in demons because in doing so they would have to believe in God. So to be a full fledged athiest, they have to say that they don't believe in anything except for the things that they see.

And those that do believe in demons tend to view them as ugly evil, mean acting. Why would anyone embrace that....my feeling is that they are more common looking and their appearance more inviting and friendly.

I do not believe in demons because I simply have no proof that they exist, much like god.

I don't need to believe because I know they exist. And yes, some people choose to ignore what they can't handle.
